What It Is
A hands-on working session on using Claude to think better, decide faster, and get more done.
You’ll spend the afternoon inside your own Claude account, moving through five distinct levels of AI adeptness – the Five Levels of AI Thought Partnership™ we use with executive teams.
Roughly three-quarters of the time is you at your own keyboard: setting Claude up around your own work, and making things with it. Technical help is on hand throughout, so no one gets left behind.

You don’t need to be technical. You do need a laptop and a paid Claude account.
This is a community session, open to everyone – not a private training built around one company’s work. You’ll be in a room of neighbors with a wide range of experience, learning the same things together.
Our Story
In 2023, 12-year-old Kaz Keller started teaching neighbors how to use ChatGPT.
The first classes began around our dining room table. Word spread on Nextdoor, and they moved to the Mill Valley Community Center. Sarah Friar, then CEO of Nextdoor and now CFO of OpenAI, told the story.
Gen AI Academy grew out of those classes. The team we’ve built since has trained more than 800 CEOs, including at globally-recognized companies (it’s turning out to be quite the wild ride).
Kaz is 15 now, a junior in high school. On November 8 we’re back in the same building, teaching our community members again.

Before You Come
Get a paid Claude account. The Claude Pro plan is the minimum ($20 per month, or $17 per month billed annually). Set it up and log in before you arrive. See claude.com/pricing.
Bring a laptop – not a tablet or a phone – and bring your charger.
Check your connectors. If you’re on a personal Claude account, you can turn these on yourself. If you’re on a work account, your IT administrator controls them, so please ask before the session. If connectors aren’t available to you, you’ll still see everything demonstrated live.
Go easy on Claude the day before. Usage limits apply, and you’ll want full capacity for the afternoon.
Complete the AI self-assessment. About a week before the session we'll email everyone a five-minute form. Your answers shape how we tailor the workshop.

Cancel by Sunday, October 25 for a full refund
After October 25 we can't refund your seat, but you're welcome to send someone in your place. Just email us their name before the session.
If we have to cancel the session, you'll receive a full refund.
Good to Know
During the workshop you may choose to upload or enter your own content in Claude. We’ll show you how to manage your privacy settings, including how to keep your data from being used to train models. You are responsible for managing your own Claude settings and use. Gen AI Academy is not liable for data shared with Claude or any third-party platform or application during or after the workshop.
